A British firefighter performed artificial respiration to a dog which fainted in the fire and saved it, and was called a hero by people. A residential house on Silver Road in Hull City had a fire, and a dog named Sunny was rescued from the fire but had stopped breathing. Firefighter Mick Dunn was not willing to give up. After several minutes of artificial respiration, signs of life appeared on the pet dog. Dunn, who provided first aid to the pet dog at the first time, said: "When I saw it, I thought that it had already died of suffocation because of the heavy smoke, because it had already stopped breathing." Dunn expressed that he had never received training in animal emergency rescue methods before. After performing artificial respiration on the pet dog, Dunn put an oxygen mask for human patients on it. After 30 minutes, the pet dog showed signs of life, and later, a veterinarian conducted a full-body examination on it.
