CAIRO: Under pressure, the president of Egypt, Hosni Mubarak, yielded to constant public protests and stepped down as the chief of state on Friday. Jubilations erupted at Tahrir Square, the epicenter of the protests that had been ongoing in Egypt, aimed at ousting Hosni Mubarak, who had ruled the country for 29 long years.
