The惊人 wage gap between Chinese industries is as high as 15 times, MOHRSS responds
In terms of broad industry categories, in 2009, the average wage of employees in the financial industry, the highest-paying sector in China, was 4.7 times that of the lowest-paying agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery sector; looking at more细分 industries, in 2008, the average wage of employees in the securities industry, the highest-paying sector, was 15.93 times that of the animal husbandry industry, which paid the least. Typically, the finer the industry classification, the greater the gap between the highest and lowest values.
