Popular in the Miao areas. It is unclear who invented it, but this custom comes from ancient times and has become a tradition in folklore.
Method one: Use peach branches from the southeast to profess love. Every month, on an auspicious day (specifically the "Mao" day), collect peach branches from the southeast direction for effectiveness (regardless of whether it's for professing love, exorcising ghosts, or curing diseases). If professing love, the name of the beloved woman must be written on a Gengzi day and placed in her toilet (this applies to unmarried men). For married or unmarried women, write their names with peach branches; in the Miao language, this is called "medicine," which is very effective.
Method two: Burn hair to profess love. According to *Compendium of Materia Medica*, if a man wishes to express his love to a certain woman, take twenty strands of her hair, burn them into ashes, and on a Gengzi day, write the woman's name and mix it with alcohol to drink. Alternatively, on a Gengzi day, take your own body hair and fingernails, burn them into ashes, mix them with the woman's hair, form pills, and swallow them, which is also effective.
Method three: In Miao areas, using medicinal power to profess love is also effective. Utilize the grass that moves without wind (grass that sways even when there's no wind), willow trees connected across a river (two willow tree tips that naturally connect across a river), and heaven and earth connected (digging out a worm where dragonflies touch the water). After obtaining all these items, dry them under the sun, grind them into powder, and sprinkle it on the beloved woman, which is also effective.
