According to a report by American media on April 11, the 13-year-old Romero began to climb Mount Everest with his family. If he succeeds in the challenge, he will break the world record for being the youngest person to reach the summit of Mount Everest. Moreover, Romero has successfully climbed five of the highest peaks on the seven continents.
Those climbing Mount Everest together with Romero include his father Paul, stepmother Caren, and three Sherpa guides. They set off from Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, arrived at the Chinese Everest base camp, and then will summit from the north slope of the Himalayas.
