Compared with Russia, the US army has never been a fan of supersonic cruise missiles. However, this convention is about to change. On August 10th, the American magazine Wired disclosed that the US Air Force is making all-out efforts to develop the X-51 "WaveRider" supersonic cruise missile. The speed of this missile far exceeds that of current cruise missiles and can achieve "instantaneous global strike".
