The "aircraft graveyard" is located at the U.S. military Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona. It covers an area of approximately 10.5 square kilometers, equivalent to the size of 1430 football fields, and is considered the world's largest military aircraft "graveyard," as well as the only location in the United States for retired aircraft placement. The aircraft here include bombers, fighters, drones, helicopters, and military cargo planes, among others.
Xian Evening News reported on February 25 that "Google Earth" has, for the first time, revealed high-resolution satellite images of the world's largest "aircraft graveyard," clearly showcasing this spectacular scene to the public.
According to the "Google Earth" images, B-52 bombers, F-14 fighters, and A-10 attack aircraft—once dominant forces in the skies—are now lined up like the Terracotta Warriors in Emperor Qin Shi Huang's tomb, situated in the desert "graveyard" of southwestern Arizona.
