On the early morning of February 21, a blogger from Lingshi, Shanxi wrote in his blog: Rumors came out of nowhere. Dozens of cities and counties in Jinzhong, Lüliang, Taiyuan, etc., were all lit up as people swarmed onto the streets to wait for the so-called "earthquake" with anxiety and curiosity.
Currently, the websites of the Shanxi Seismological Bureau and Taiyuan Seismological Bureau still cannot be accessed. None of the three telephone numbers of the Shanxi Seismological Bureau can get through.
After great efforts, the reporter finally got in touch with the Yangquan Seismological Bureau of Shanxi Province. A staff surnamed Rong confirmed the truthfulness of the blog content. In various places of Shanxi, there was such a scene that people went onto the street at midnight to wait for the earthquake. At 5:30 am, the Shanxi Provincial Seismological Bureau called them requiring them to quickly deny the rumors.
