My classmate just told me that there was an earthquake in Songjiang and I thought he was joking.
Afterwards, I searched online and it turned out to be true that there was an earthquake in Songjiang of Shanghai. A 3.2-magnitude earthquake occurred in Songjiang of Shanghai and netizens said the tremor lasted for more than ten seconds.
According to the seismic network of the Shanghai Seismological Bureau, at 17:03 on November 7, 2009, a ML3.2 earthquake occurred in Songjiang, Shanghai, located at 31 degrees 00 minutes north latitude and 121 degrees 06 minutes east longitude, with a focal depth of 13 km.
Around 5 p.m. on the afternoon of the 7th, a large number of posts about the earthquake in Songjiang District of Shanghai appeared on major forums. Some netizens said the earthquake was strong and lasted for more than ten seconds. The Shanghai Seismological Bureau website issued a seismic bulletin at 20:02, confirming this statement.
In addition, at around 11 a.m. today, the Shanghai Seismological Bureau detected a 0.7-magnitude earthquake in Songjiang, Shanghai, located at 30 degrees 58 minutes north latitude and 121 degrees 09 minutes east longitude.
