The election for the fourth Legislative Assembly of the Macao Special Administrative Region will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2009. To facilitate voters in casting their ballots near their homes, the Management Committee for the Legislative Election (hereinafter referred to as "Election Committee") has decided to adopt a "one district, one station" model to assign polling locations for eligible voters on September 20. In addition, the Election Committee also resolved that voters must use designated stamps to mark their ballots; otherwise, the ballots will be considered invalid.

To inform the public about the voting procedures for this year's Legislative Assembly election, the Election Committee has set up a mock polling station at the Public Administration Building and introduced the voting process to the media this afternoon.

Eligible voters have already received their voting notices by mail.
