Brazilian police announced on June 11 that the Recife Medical College of Law started to identify the first batch of 16 bodies of the Air France plane crash victims salvaged on the same day. It was analyzed that identifying the bodies would help investigators confirm whether the passenger plane had disintegrated in mid-air.

Ramon Cardozo, spokesman for the Brazilian Air Force said that the Brazilian Air Force and Navy salvaged another three bodies of the Air France plane crash victims on June 11, making the total number of the salvaged bodies reach 44.
