At around 2:20 PM on June 8th, a serious traffic accident occurred at the gate of the county automobile客运 station on Pingcheng Middle Road in Dazhu Town, Pingyuan County, Meizhou. The accident resulted in 2 deaths and 8 injuries. After the incident, eyewitnesses confirmed that the offending vehicle was a black Toyota Crown sedan with the license plate number粤MY0011, which belonged to a discipline inspection cadre from Pingyuan County. During the reporter's interview, it was learned that the offender was Lin Hai, the deputy secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Pingyuan County and the director of the Supervision Bureau. He has been criminally detained by the public security organs according to law. The police are investigating the cause of the accident, and eyewitnesses believed that Lin Hai was driving under the influence of alcohol.
