Recently, I have been caught up in a flu epidemic, which has caused a blank period between the 26th and 30th. The Gubaiyou contest is nearing its end :) The rankings are no longer in doubt, I'm just glad that my cold is about to be over~!~
This week, a lot of things happened, all because of my cold, which has cut down on my online browsing time. Let's start with my clients. Two clients' projects have been fully delivered, and work for another client is ongoing. Of course, excluding the few days off for the Dragon Boat Festival, there was still time to finish the clients' work. Although I missed the Dragon Boat Festival, today I am catching up on some unfinished tasks, such as classic jokes from the Dragon Boat Festival. Additionally, there were some infuriating events during Gubaiyou, like this one: "Foreigners scattering RMB causing college students to scramble." I feel that universities these days aren't very good. Not only do they fail at cultivating talent, but also in terms of creating a garbage environment with garbage people, most come from university education. Therefore, I must say: universities should also hold a competition similar to Gubaiyou, focusing on civility and quality, so everyone can realize they are part of society and not become pests to it.
My cold is almost gone, and even though I haven't created enough links, it doesn't matter. At least, I've learned a lot. During this contest, someone used an incredibly unique optimization method and achieved a decent ranking, albeit not in the top ten. I prefer paying attention to other methods. For example, setting aside links, if other methods can give your website a high score, then I favor this approach more. Many people say that links are king, but links are merely one out of thousands or tens of thousands in the vast search engine ranking algorithm. Even if we include the link-related metrics, links might only account for a few percent of the algorithm, possibly even less. A page's quality isn't solely determined by links; there are many factors involved, as I mentioned earlier, seeing some people use other methods to improve their friendliness with search engines.
The competition is coming to an end, and I will step back. However, wedding planning for 2010 is just beginning, and I hope those interested will reach out to discuss opportunities.
