At around 7 a.m. yesterday morning, a 32-year-old man climbed onto the Haizhu Bridge in an attempt to reclaim his overdue payments. This marked the 12th person to jump off the Haizhu Bridge since April. However, unlike the "predecessors" who had managed to "gracefully leave and land safely," at around noon, under heavy police vigilance, a man in his sixties quietly approached the jumper and, under the pretense of "shaking hands and making friends," pulled and pushed the man causing him to fall from a great height. The jumper suffered elbow and lumbar fractures, while the man who pushed him was arrested on the spot.

The man climbing the bridge caused a four-hour traffic jam

At around 7:20 a.m. yesterday, a man wearing a white shirt, with a baseball cap, and carrying a black backpack, evaded the security guard's surveillance and climbed onto the Haizhu Bridge. About 7 meters away from the bridge deck, the man unfurled a red banner, displaying it vertically to passersby, and threw a petition note to journalists. Upon receiving the report, security guards, police, and firefighters successively arrived at the scene, implementing control over the Haizhu Bridge, placing air mattresses, and beginning their persuasion efforts.
