Starting from 0:00 on April 1st, the national railways will implement a new train operation chart. On the 30th day of March, Taiyuan Railway Bureau introduced to the media the operation status of the upcoming Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan Passenger Dedicated Line EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) trains.

According to the introduction, starting from April 1st, the Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan Passenger Dedicated Line will open with 12 groups of CRH5 type EMUs that reach a maximum speed of 250 kilometers per hour. These will be operated in two phases, with a total of 27 pairs of trains. In the first phase, 17 pairs will be launched, including 8 pairs from Taiyuan to Beijing West, 7 pairs to Shijiazhuang North, and 1 pair each to Zhengzhou and Shenyang North. At that time, the travel time from Taiyuan to Beijing will be 2 hours and 59 minutes, to Shijiazhuang over an hour, to Shenyang North less than 8 hours, and to Zhengzhou 4 and a half hours. Additionally, there will be 3 pairs of direct EMUs from Taiyuan to Beijing. The ticket prices for the Taiyuan-Beijing EMU are 189 yuan for first-class seats and 157 yuan for second-class seats. To maximize convenience for passengers purchasing tickets, Taiyuan Station has added a dedicated EMU ticketing hall with 13 ticket windows and implemented online ticket sales at all outlets within the province. Moreover, Taiyuan Station has also added six 24-hour booking telephone lines and six automatic ticket vending machines.
