The memorial service for Zhou Xin was held yesterday with the coffin covered by the party flag. A eulogy delivered by his colleague moved all the attendees to tears.

Zhou Xin, male, was born in January 1979 and started his public security work in August 1999. Before he passed away, he was a police officer at Dunren Police Station of Fuling District Public Security Bureau, holding the rank of First Class Inspector.
At around 20:00 on February 20, 2009, after several days of overtime work, Zhou Xin prepared to take a bus home when he noticed that the suspect Zhao was attacking people with a knife. In order to protect the crowd from harm, Zhou Xin fearlessly stood out, revealed his identity as a policeman, and engaged in a deadly fight with the criminal all by himself.
