According to the website of the Chinese government, the General Office of the State Council recently released a notice about holiday arrangements for certain statutory holidays in 2009. According to the notice, New Year's Day will be a 3-day holiday from January 1 to January 3; Spring Festival will be a 7-day holiday from January 25 to January 31; and National Day will be an 8-day holiday from October 1 to October 8.
