The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue an orange cold wave warning at 6:00 a.m. on December 5th:
Due to the influence of strong cold air moving east and south, it is expected that most parts of North China, Northeast China, Huang-Huai, and Jiang-Huai regions will experience northwesterly winds of force 5~7. The temperatures in these areas will drop by 8~12℃, and in some areas, the temperature drop can exceed 14℃. There will be heavy to severe snow in the northern part of Shandong Peninsula; the Yangtze-Han Plain, South China, and South Lingnan will experience northwesterly winds of force 4~6. The temperatures in most southern areas will also drop by 6~10℃, and in some areas of Northeast Jiangnan, the temperature drop can reach 12℃. The wind force on river and lake surfaces can reach force 7~9. The eastern and southern sea areas of our country will experience northwesterly winds of force 7~9, with gusts of force 10~11.
