The Lanzhou Municipal Party Committee was attacked and more than 60 people were seriously injured.
The Gansu Provincial Party Committee expressed that this event was a mass incident which seriously disrupted social order. It was triggered by the issue of the planned relocation of the administrative center of Longnan city. Currently, the situation has been basically brought under control, the conflict tends to ease, the crowd in the courtyard of the Municipal Party Committee has dispersed, and order on the main streets has resumed.
