According to the statistics of Lianjia Real Estate Market Research Department, in the first half of June, the postgraduate housing rental in Beijing increased by 12% compared with the same period in May. The leasing market is about to enter the second rising demand period within this year. However, the rent has not significantly increased with the transaction volume. Yan Binjie, marketing director of Xinzun Real Estate Market Department analyzed that as the regulation remained deadlocked, many property owners believed that house prices could rise again and they refused to reduce prices for selling houses. Owners who were not in a hurry to sell their houses directly changed from selling to renting, which increased the rental housing sources in the market. The increase in rental housing supply has in turn stabilized the rent.
