The sea wind was blowing, and the Ocean Village (now the Ocean Community, but still commonly known as Ocean Village) which was located less than a kilometer from the coastline once again became bustling.
On the morning of April 30th, nearly a hundred snakes, with their tongues flickering, were spotted slithering through this seaside village situated on the northern shore of the Yellow Sea, leaving the villagers astonished. Some speculated that it was caused by the mountain excavation in the village. The sight of the wriggling mass of snakes filled the villagers with fear. A week earlier, the village had made national headlines when "a thousand people knelt" to demand a meeting with the mayor.
