Nursing for bedsores:
① When the wound has dead tissue (gangrenous flesh), inflammation is still spreading, and the boundary between dead tissue and healthy skin is unclear, it is advisable to mix equal amounts of purple carbuncle ointment and Huadu San ointment and apply externally.
② When the dead tissue (gangrenous flesh) has reached deep into the muscle or even deeper forming a sinus tract, it is advisable to use a red blood medicine thread dipped in purple carbuncle ointment inserted into the wound, covered externally with Huadu San ointment.
③ When the boundary between dead tissue and normal skin is clear and begins to fall off, it is advisable to mix equal amounts of purple carbuncle ointment, Huadu San ointment, and Ganru ointment and apply externally.
④ When the dead tissue has fallen off and new granulation tissue begins to grow, it is advisable to mix 80g of Ganru ointment with 20g of purple carbuncle ointment and apply externally.
⑤ When the new granulation tissue grows well and the edges of the wound have started epithelial growth, it is advisable to thinly sprinkle Zhu Dan powder over the wound, then cover with an oil gauze strip made from Ganru ointment.
