(1) Wearing lenses is the most basic measure to correct myopia in children. For mild myopia that does not affect daily life and study, it is not necessary to wear glasses immediately. For moderate and severe myopia, since distance vision is significantly reduced, failing to correct it will inevitably affect life and study; therefore, wearing glasses is necessary. Before getting glasses, one should first determine the true degree of myopia through shadow testing. The principle of prescribing glasses should be to use the lowest degree lens that can still correct the myopic vision to the best possible vision.
