Industrial pollution causes plants to lose their fragrance, leaving humans to face a spring without smells

According to the American Life Science Network, a new study at the University of Virginia in the United States shows that due to pollution from power plants and car factories which has destroyed the fragrance of flowers, spring blossoms no longer smell as sweet and enchanting. This discovery helps explain why some pollinating animals, especially bees, are disappearing in large numbers in some countries.
