Dr. William Rutala from the University of North Carolina pointed out that common bacteria found on computer keyboards include streptococcus, pseudomonas aeruginosa, and chlamydia trachomatis, etc. If not cleaned in time, these can lead to gastrointestinal diseases, skin conditions, eye infections, and skin allergies. A survey once found that the amount of debris inside office computer keyboards increases at an average rate of 2 grams per month.
