When you first look at this picture, you must think that the two people in it are sisters. However, they are actually a mother and daughter wearing the same clothes. According to the UK's Daily Mail on November 8th, the 26-year-old young mother Rebecca Jones in the photo weighs only 63.5 kg due to suffering from severe anorexia, which is 8 kg lighter than her 7-year-old daughter Messi's weight. Rebecca, who has suffered from anorexia for a long time, currently weighs only 63.5 kg, and when she wears the same clothes as her 7-year-old daughter Messi, they look like a pair of sisters.

It is reported that Rebecca is about 1.55 meters tall. Due to being unable to get rid of the troubles of anorexia, she can only rely on soup, bread slices, and energy-supplementing drinks to maintain her physical strength. Severe malnutrition has made her body thin to the point of being skin and bones. The doctor even warned her that if she cannot ensure nutrient intake, she might suffer from myasthenia gravis or heart disease due to insufficient potassium content in her blood. Severe malnutrition has made Rebecca extremely thin, facing threats from multiple diseases.

Due to her parents' divorce, Rebecca suffered from serious eating disorders at the age of 11. She once rapidly gained weight to over 190 pounds due to binge eating, enduring ridicule and exclusion from classmates at school, severely damaging her self-confidence. At the age of 13, Rebecca decided to start dieting. Within two years, her weight plummeted to 101 pounds, and her menstruation stopped due to rapid weight loss.

"During that period, although I was often weak to the point of being bedridden, I felt happy when classmates started praising my figure," Rebecca said. "Neither me nor my parents realized what was wrong with my body; my mom even thought I was just outgrowing the 'baby fat' stage."

At the age of 19, while studying at Manchester University, Rebecca fell in love with a boy. Soon, she unexpectedly found herself pregnant, and the baby inside her was already 26 weeks old.

Rebecca recalled: "I never thought I could get pregnant. I remember there were no signs of pregnancy in my body then; my weight did not increase, and my abdomen remained flat. The doctor forced me to eat more chicken to supplement protein and insisted on taking vitamin pills to ensure the fetus's nutrition. My boyfriend tried various methods to 'lure' me into eating more things, but my stomach seemed accustomed to consuming small amounts of food, and large meals made me feel nauseous and want to vomit."

Ultimately, Rebecca got through her pregnancy by eating bread and beets, during which she only gained 6.35 pounds. Fortunately, her daughter Messi, though born weighing less than 5 pounds, was very healthy and had a good appetite. But the frail Rebecca never produced breast milk.

"Messi has always had a good appetite; she likes to eat chocolate, pizza, and cake. From a young age, I have allowed her to eat whatever she wanted. Because I don't want her to become like me," Rebecca said. "Watching her devour food voraciously is the most comforting moment for me."

Not long after her daughter was born, Rebecca broke up with her boyfriend, and her anorexia seemed to worsen. She almost only ate liquid food every day, and her weight plummeted to the current 63.5 kg. Her sensible daughter Messi is very concerned about her mother's health and often persuades her mother to eat more with her, hoping she will gain weight.

Rebecca stated that she also hopes she can overcome difficulties and eat a little more so that her body can become stronger and watch her daughter grow up healthily.
