Sprouted Green Potatoes
Potatoes (also known as solanum tuberosum) that have sprouted and turned green contain high levels of solanine, a toxic glycoalkaloid. Eating them can easily cause poisoning. Therefore, potatoes that have sprouted or have green skin should not be consumed.
Brown-Core Sugarcane
If sugarcane has spoiled, its interior may appear black or brownish and will have an alcoholic smell. This is due to contamination by the fungus Fusarium moniliforme, which produces toxins.
