US Nuclear Plant Issues Warrant for "Giant Man-eating Rats"
Fear of rats mutating from drinking radioactive water and becoming "giant man-eating rats" has thrown residents into a panic.
According to reports on November 20th by the US "Tri-City Herald" and others, the Hanford nuclear plant located in central-southern Washington State was built in the 1940s and once provided nuclear material for the world's first atomic bomb. Cleaning personnel recently discovered multiple areas of rat droppings containing lethal doses of radioactive material at the base. In order to capture this wandering "radioactive rat" and avoid endangering nearby residents, staff have set up nearly 60 mousetraps, but so far have had no success. Some people are worried that nuclear radiation may cause the "radioactive rat" to mutate, possibly creating an entirely new species of rat —— "giant man-eating rats."
