Allergic rhinitis, also known as变应性鼻炎, is an allergic disease of the nasal mucosa that can lead to various complications. There is another type induced by non-specific stimuli, without participation of specific allergens, and not part of an immune response process. However, its clinical manifestations are similar to the two types of allergic rhinitis mentioned above. It is called vasomotor rhinitis or reflex neurogenic rhinitis. The stimulation can come from outside the body (physical, chemical aspects) or from inside the body (endocrine, mental aspects). Therefore, some people consider it a type of allergic rhinitis. However, since there is no antigen-antibody reaction within the body, desensitization therapy, hormone therapy, or immunotherapy are ineffective.
Allergic rhinitis is easy to treat but difficult to cure completely. Here, we introduce several folk remedies for treatment.
