Today's article is written for men. In a few days, it will be Women's Day on March 8th. When society is paying attention to women's health everywhere, who thinks about the fragility of men? This article is dedicated to those men who are making contributions for Women's Day, and I would also like to wish all women a happy holiday in advance.
First, let me introduce a term: prostate. It is the largest accessory gland in men, with both internal and external secretion functions. Although the prostate is small, it causes many problems and troubles for men. Statistics show that more than 72% of men do not know that prostate diseases can affect male sperm quality; more than half of men have experienced the distress of frequent urination, urgent urination, and painful urination, and over 80% of men said that repeated episodes of prostatitis have caused them physical and mental damage, making them suffer unbearably.
Experts point out that chronic prostatitis is a common disease among adult men, especially prevalent among young and middle-aged men aged 20-40. Smoking and excessive drinking are one of the important reasons for causing chronic prostatitis. Surveys show that the incidence of prostate disease in smokers is 1-2 times higher than in non-smokers, and the more cigarettes smoked, the greater the harm to the prostate. Alcohol has a stimulating effect on the prostate and urethra, which can cause discomfort in the perineum, and may lead to vasodilation, promoting congestion and edema of the prostate and bladder neck, reducing the resistance of the prostate. In addition, long-term sitting, lack of exercise, irregular lifestyle, and unhealthy living habits can all lead to the occurrence of prostatitis.
Experts analyzed that one of the main reasons why men fear chronic prostatitis is the concern about its contagiousness. Clinically, chronic prostatitis mainly includes three types: non-bacterial, non-specific bacterial, and specific types. Non-bacterial prostatitis will not be transmitted to female partners, while non-specific bacterial prostatitis does not need to worry about transmission because the female vagina has a strong ability to resist external bacterial infections. Only chronic prostatitis caused by trichomonas or fungi, or caused by gonococcal or mycoplasma infections, known as specific prostatitis in clinical terms, has a certain degree of contagiousness in the early stages of the disease. Therefore, during sexual intercourse, it can be transmitted to the female partner, causing specific vaginal inflammation.
Today, I will stop here. Tomorrow, I will tell everyone how to protect the most vulnerable part of men.
