Spring Festival Recommendations - A Complete Guide to Hypertension Food Therapy

Hypertension often leads to headaches, cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral thrombosis, brain atrophy, fundus hemorrhage, vascular sclerosis, etc., and has become a common disease with a high incidence. Approximately one million people die each year from cardiovascular diseases caused by hypertension. Today, we will introduce how to prevent and treat hypertension through dietary therapy.

Tea Therapy

1. Lotus Leaf Tea: Wash fresh lotus leaves, cut them into pieces, add an appropriate amount of water, boil it into a soup, and drink it frequently as tea.

2. Lotus Seed Heart Tea: Take 12 grams of lotus seed hearts, steep in boiling water, and drink as tea.

3. Cnidium Tea: Take 250 grams of Cnidium, roast it gently in an iron pot for 2 minutes (do not burn), grab a handful daily to make tea.

4. Hawthorn Tea: Soak 3 hawthorns, slice them, and steep in boiling water. Drink after meals as tea for 10 days for noticeable blood pressure reduction. Fresh hawthorn is even more effective.

5. Goji Berry Tea: Steep 10 grams of goji berries in boiling water and drink after meals three times daily for 10 days for significant blood pressure reduction.

6. Acanthopanax Tea: Shave the roots and stems of Acanthopanax into thin slices, dry them, and steep in boiling water as tea.

Comprehensive Dietary Therapy for Hypertension:

7. Kelp and Corn Silk for Hypertension: Soak 30g of kelp and corn silk, cook together in a clay pot until it becomes soup.

8. Celery Porridge for Hypertension: Cook 50g of celery and 50g of rice into porridge.

9. Plum Blossom Porridge for Hypertension: Cook 5g of white plum blossoms, 6g of white chrysanthemum, and 50-100g of glutinous rice into porridge.

10. Chrysanthemum Brain for Hypertension: Use young shoots of chrysanthemum (15-20g), rinse, cook with a little salt, drink the soup.

11. Russian Thistle Leaves for Hypertension: Steep an appropriate amount of Russian thistle leaves, hawthorn, and schisandra berries in boiling water and drink as tea.

12. Pig Brain for Hypertension: Boil pig brain marrow with tianma and aged orange peel, season lightly.

13. Watermelon Peel for Hypertension: Boil corn silk, watermelon peel, and banana in four bowls of water down to one and a half bowls, add rock sugar.

14. Winter Melon Grass Carp Soup for Hypertension: Slice winter melon and grass carp, fry the fish golden in vegetable oil, then stew with winter melon in a clay pot for 3-4 hours.

15. Bitter Melon Celery for Hypertension: Stir-fry an appropriate amount of celery and bitter melon in vegetable oil.

16. Mussel Century Egg for Hypertension: Roast mussel, grind into powder, mix with century egg, season with soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, vinegar.

17. Snow Feast Soup for Hypertension: Cut jellyfish skin and water chestnuts into slices, boil together.

18. Chrysanthemum Hawthorn Cassia for Hypertension: Boil chrysanthemum, raw hawthorn slices, and cassia seeds, drink as tea.

19. Chrysanthemum Oolong for Hypertension: Steep Hangzhou chrysanthemum and oolong tea in hot water.

20. Polygonum Multiflorum for Hypertension: Boil polygonum multiflorum, remove residue, cook with glutinous rice and jujube into porridge.
