The symptoms of H1N1 are similar to those of a cold, with patients experiencing fever, coughing, fatigue, and loss of appetite. Reports indicate that during the 2009 outbreak in the United States, the main symptoms observed were sudden fever, coughing, muscle pain, and tiredness. Some patients also experienced diarrhea and vomiting. Cases found in Mexico also showed symptoms such as red eyes, headaches, and runny noses.
Characteristics of H1N1 Symptoms
Transmission: There have been confirmed cases of human-to-human transmission of the H1N1 virus, which can also be transmitted to pigs. Its transmission route is similar to seasonal flu, usually through coughing and sneezing of infected individuals.
