The Health Information Network has explicitly listed 13 categories of health-hazardous foods prohibited by the state, including milk powder adulterated with melamine, chili peppers containing Sudan Red, excessive antibiotic residues in Patin fish, and gutter oil. These food safety incidents have been questioned due to loopholes in regulations. Yesterday, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce issued the "Measures for the Supervision and Administration of Food Safety in the Circulation Link," clearly enumerating 13 types of prohibited food operations, including the addition of non-food additives, and imposing strict supervision on food.

The Measures list 13 categories of prohibited food operations, mainly including food produced with non-food raw materials or adding chemical substances other than food additives and other substances that may endanger human health, or food produced using recycled food as raw material; food with pathogenic microorganisms, pesticide residues, veterinary drug residues, heavy metals, pollutants, and other substances hazardous to human health exceeding the limits set by food safety standards.

In addition, it also includes main and supplementary foods exclusively for infants and young children and other specific groups that do not meet food safety standards in terms of nutritional components; food contaminated by packaging materials, containers, transport vehicles, etc.; food past its expiration date; pre-packaged food without labels; food explicitly prohibited by the state for disease prevention and other special needs; food labels and instructions not conforming to Article 48, Paragraph 3 of the "Food Safety Law"; imported pre-packaged food without Chinese labels, Chinese instructions, or Chinese labels and instructions not complying with Article 66 of the "Food Safety Law," etc.
