Prostatitis is a common disease among men, and the vast majority of cases occur in young and middle-aged adults. Clinically, prostatitis can be divided into two types: acute and chronic. Acute prostatitis is relatively rare in clinical practice, whereas chronic prostatitis has a higher incidence in the adult population. Since chronic prostatitis is often accompanied by seminal vesiculitis, it is also known as prostatovesiculitis.
