The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) of the UK has warned that type 1 diabetes sufferers may take too much insulin, and may even become comatose as a result of diabetic coma, due to flaws in their blood glucose meters. According to a report on June 8th in New Scientist of the UK, diabetes patients generally use blood glucose meters to measure their blood sugar levels, and the results given by some meters may be interpreted by patients as being too high.
