The incision method involves cutting the upper eyelid skin to create a double eyelid that is anatomically similar to a natural one. This method is suitable for any patient and the double eyelid will not disappear. For older patients with loose skin, more wrinkles, or protruding orbital septum fat, a small amount of skin and part of the orbital septum fat can also be removed to reduce symptoms of upper eyelid looseness and swelling. The disadvantage is that there is significant postoperative swelling, and some patients have prolonged swelling, leaving a fine scar from the incision in the early stages.
