Abstract: Objective To probe into the diagnosis and treatment of colonic obstruction. Methods Clinical data were retrospectively analyzed in 58 patients with colonic obstruction treated from 1992 to 2001. Results There were 42 cases (72.4%) of chronic incomplete obstruction and 16 cases (27.6%) of acute obstruction; 41 cases of chronic obstruction were caused by colon cancer, and 7 cases of acute complete obstruction were colon cancer.
