Chronic gastritis refers to various chronic inflammatory lesions of the gastric mucosa caused by different etiologies. Its clinical manifestations include long-term digestive symptoms, such as upper abdominal pain, fullness, heartburn, nausea, and loss of appetite, etc. The exact causes have not been fully understood yet. It can be transformed from acute gastritis, or caused by excessive smoking and drinking, stimulating foods and drugs, cold foods, binge eating and drinking, etc. It can be confirmed by fibrogastroscopy and gastric mucosa tissue examination.
