At 18:00 on October 30, a scalpel cut across the tiny abdomen of "palm-sized baby girl" Nafe Sai Ba. Born only four days earlier, she was undergoing surgery for "congenital intestinal atresia and anastomosis." For this little one, who was born at only 32 weeks gestation and weighed 1900 grams, this operation required her to overcome five "life-and-death hurdles": anesthesia, breathing, infection, jaundice, and the trauma of abdominal surgery.

Currently, Nafe Sai Ba's vital signs are stable post-operation, but she has not yet fully passed through the critical period. It is reported that this surgery set a record in Xinjiang for being performed on the youngest patient by gestational age, the youngest by age, and the lightest by weight among similar surgeries.

The palm-sized baby girl could not take in any water, putting her life in grave danger.

On October 27, in a small mountain village in Langru Township, Hotan County, Hotan Prefecture, a new daughter was born into the Buyiti·Abdulla family. What made everyone uneasy was that this child was born at only 32 weeks gestation, at least six weeks premature.
