Rolex watches prevent the rusting of the movement.

To prevent the rusting of the movement, Rolex watches are strictly monitored at each stage of production to minimize contact between hands and movement components. If such contact cannot be avoided, the parts processed daily should be cleaned. Parts that need to be stored for a longer period should adopt effective anti-rust measures. For watch repair units, how to properly store replacement parts is an extremely important issue. These repair units usually keep spare parts for a long time; their working environment often lacks scientific guarantees, such as unstrict control of temperature and humidity, especially in rainy summers, which can easily cause rusting and damage to the spare parts. To address this, Xin Shikong Watch Industry introduces several relatively simple and practical methods for preventing rust in mechanical watch movements:

1. Silica Gel Dryer - Depending on the scale and needs of the repair unit, one or more dryers should be equipped to store Rolex watch movements, preventing rust caused by moisture absorption in movement components. Silica gel dryers come in large, medium, and small sizes. They consist of coarse-pore or fine-pore silica gel and a small amount of color-changing silica gel placed inside a sealed glass container. Coarse-pore silica gel can absorb large amounts of moisture under 95%-100% relative humidity or when directly immersed in liquid; fine-pore silica gel, however, maintains high moisture absorption even at lower relative humidity levels. This combination meets the requirements for sealed storage.
