I don't believe in the concept of resolutions. The idea that a date on the calendar can serve as motivation to improve one's life seems silly to me. That said, a year is undoubtedly a great chunk of time — long enough to take on bigger projects, yet short enough to keep ultimate goals within sight. At the same time, a year is also an excellent timeframe for taking a good hard look at the "big picture" of your life — what you're doing wrong, what you're doing right, and what you'd like to change.
