Parents can teach their children about the value of a dollar and other money-related concepts through guidance and examples. W.C. Randall Jones suggested that books on drawing and handicrafts are the best tools for teaching children about the functions of money and financial situations. Randall advised that the next time you go to the bank, you should take the opportunity to teach your children. Tell them that the person who receives the money is called a cashier. The action of giving money to the cashier is called depositing. Placing money in the bank is for verifying the amount of money and saving/keeping it safe. People who deposit money don't need to carry a lot of cash. Checks can be used to pay for purchases. Money deposited in the bank can earn interest, which increases the amount of money over time.
