The household iron pot can bring us a lot of benefits, especially for the elderly and young children groups who aim for a nutritious and healthy life. However, it's quite difficult to keep an iron pot (mainly referring to raw iron pots) from rusting. Therefore, having a good pot is not only for cooking but also requires careful maintenance.

The iron pot is a very commonly used cooking utensil in daily life, known for its excellent quality at an affordable price. Many chefs who love to cook prefer using iron pots.

The advantage of iron pots, besides being cheap and heating quickly, is that they can supplement iron for our bodies. There is, however, a small drawback: they tend to rust easily.

Actually, as long as you don't mind doing a little extra work, you can avoid the trouble of rusting iron pots.

After stir-frying, wash the iron pot, then use paper towels or a cloth to dry the inside walls of the pot. Use high heat to evaporate any remaining water on both the inside and outside walls of the pot, and that's it. If you're too lazy to use paper towels or a cloth to wipe, you can directly place it over the fire to dry it, although this method might waste some fuel.

For the iron knives used for cutting vegetables at home, to prevent rusting, you can follow the same treatment method.

Additionally, if the pot is going to be unused for a long time, you can apply a thin layer of vegetable oil on the inner wall of the pot. This way, no matter how long it is stored, it will not rust. Before using it again, simply clean it thoroughly with dishwashing detergent.
