The summer is hot and rainy, with plenty of sunshine. It is the peak season for the growth of some flowers, while some others are in dormancy. In order to help the flowers get through this period smoothly, we should strengthen the management in aspects such as watering, shading, and pest and disease control.
Iron Tree
Iron supplementation: In summer, due to the hot weather, the leaves of the iron tree often appear "listless" and not emerald green. Therefore, in order to make the leaves lustrous and dark green, a small amount of ferrous sulfate can be added to the fertilizer water. When watering, the amount should not be too large. Be sure to avoid water accumulation in the potting soil, so as to prevent root rot and yellowing of leaves. Potted iron trees generally need to change soil at least once every three years. When changing the soil, some scrap iron can be placed in the pot to increase the iron content, which will also make the branches and leaves of the iron tree more emerald green.
