Many people believe that giving gifts mainly expresses gratitude to customers, while at the same time consolidating and strengthening the existing good relationship between the company and its customers. A recent survey showed that among companies that give business gifts, 47% responded as "effective" or "very effective", another 39% of companies believed it was at least "somewhat effective", and only 2% of companies thought gifting had no benefits at all. Customers are our bread and butter, so of course they shouldn't be left out when it comes to giving gifts. So what kind of gift is appropriate for customers?

What to give, worry-free gifts:

1. Health-oriented: Caring about the customer's physical health, give red wine, health equipment (for customers over the age of 40), mainly targeting care for the waist and neck, tea cakes, tea, etc., or you can also give local specialties!

2. Practical-oriented: Pens, notebooks, ties, wallets, perfumes, lighters, various types of rackets, etc., these are the most commonly used. Understand the customer's hobbies and personality, cater to their preferences. Customers are more likely to accept them, and a good relationship can be gradually established.

3. Decorative-oriented: Desk calendars, lucky cats (similar ones include oxen, sheep, and other auspicious figurines), "crystal decorations," etc. These gifts have little practical or economic value and won't leave a deep impression on the customer. During the critical stage of closing deals, it's better to avoid this type of gift!

4. Luxury-oriented: Watches, high-end gifts, etc. When it seems like the business is almost in hand, when should you act if not now? However, remember to thoroughly investigate the customer's background; otherwise, the gift might be wasted.

How to give:

1. Directly bring the gift to the customer's company and present it personally.

2. Hand it over to the secretary or receptionist to pass on (of course, packaging must be considered carefully to avoid exposure).

3. Send through a gifting service (still need to pay attention to packaging issues).

4. Arrange a meeting with the customer and present the gift during the session.

5. Entrust a third party who is close and trustworthy to the customer to deliver the gift. These methods should be comprehensively considered based on the value of the gift, the level of the person, and the importance of the matter. They can be used in combination. There is no standard method, but one principle remains: make it convenient for the customer to receive. Also, remember, if you don't give the gift in person, you must follow up with a phone call to explicitly or implicitly remind the customer of the gesture!
