Emotional Trends - Gender Differences in University Relationships: Male university students are more likely to choose romance over career compared to females.
Romantic young men can be found everywhere in our campuses. A recent survey indicates that male university students are more inclined to downplay careers and education in favor of indulging in amorous relationships, compared to female students. Although the survey results seem to contradict traditional gender roles (where women are expected to manage household affairs and men perform arduous work), the issue might simply come down to how so-called "romance" is defined. Aren't these young men viewing romantic relationships as an attempt to achieve "sexual fortune"?
