There is one more point that we often ignore. Those trivial things that trigger a war are not about fundamental disagreements between the two persons. Instead, both of them have the same goal: to make the family better, make the children better, and make the family look better in others' eyes... However, during the process of dealing with the problem, instead of exploring solutions, the two begin to attack each other personally. As a result, the problem remains unsolved, and the two parties have moved away from the problem itself and start an "aerial duel". And so "win some, lose some", until one day, either they don't want to fight anymore, or they go out to seek new passion. But the outcome is often "the old waves still roll".
