Guo Moruo, China's famous romantic poet and one of the founders of the Creation Society. At that time, however, he was only a medical student. This Japanese woman named Sato Fuzi became Guo Moruo's second wife four months later and changed her name to Guo Anna.

The story goes back to August 1916, when Guo Moruo went to a church hospital in Tokyo to take care of a deceased friend's funeral arrangements and retrieve the stored X-ray film. He hurried through the hospital corridor and met a young female nurse. This nurse, with the courtesy typical of Japanese women, bowed deeply to him and asked if she could be of any assistance. She then introduced herself as Sato Fuzi. After this young Chinese man explained his purpose, tears of sympathy actually welled up in Sato Fuzi's eyes. She offered to mail the X-ray film to this Chinese person after she found it, so he wouldn't have to wait for it.
