Hide & Seek Table

I just want to start by saying that sometimes designers convey ideas in their own language, and it's quite esoteric and hard to translate. So for instance, this table is called Hide & Seek. It looks like a simple Lack table from IKEA, but it's more than meets the eye. Hidden, movable drawers can function as objects or bowls. You can even plug them into the wall and make a stepped shelf. Now for the esoteric part: the idea was to create objects that respond to people's need to keep spaces coordinated. And coordination has two components -- aesthetic and functional. If a design doesn't have both or if there's too much of one or the other, it's out of balance.
