Appreciation of Netizens' Exquisite Wall Design: This is a wall style hand-painted by netizens, very cute and practical, done in several steps. For the living room TV wall, it was initially designed to paste wallpaper. But after checking in the market, I found that mural wallpapers I liked cost more than 500 yuan per square meter, which would amount to no less than 2k for just one TV wall - too expensive, so I gave up on that idea. Then I heard about large wall stickers, but after some research, I felt they were more like children's playthings, with too much flashiness but lacking in texture quality, so I abandoned that idea as well. One day, when I went to check out furniture at Xiao Lu's place, I saw hand-painted peonies in his store, which looked pretty good. That reminded me that I had once learned a bit of painting skills. Although I hadn't held a paintbrush for over six years, I really have a talent for painting, hehe. So, I decided to paint the TV wall myself.

Below is a detailed record of my process of hand-painting the TV wall, providing some reference for those who also want to DIY.

Step 1: Determine the base color. My house has a simple Chinese-style decoration, so the TV wall also aims for an ancient and elegant look. Therefore, when brushing latex paint, I specially mixed a milk coffee color as the base color. Of course, most of the time it is white.

Step 2: Determine the pattern. This depends on personal preferences. One principle is that it should match the overall decoration style. The pattern selected for my TV wall is a blooming lotus flower.

Step 3: Divide proportions. Since painting on walls is not the same as on paper, and the pattern is too large to control the proportion easily, it is necessary to draw latitude and longitude lines on the wall with white chalk before painting, dividing the wall into small grids.

Step 4: Sketch the outline with a pencil. It is recommended to use a relatively hard lead core, such as a pencil above 2H. Because softer ones like below 2B are difficult to correct if mistakes are made, and erasers cannot clean them completely.

Step 5: Coloring. This step is the hardest and the most challenging to painting skills. Let me show you all my painting tools first.
